What is WebEx?
Our online webinars are delivered using a combination of an audio conference and WebEx, a web conferencing service. WebEx began with a clean slate, taking advantage of Internet technology to design collaboration solutions that hide all the complexities. All you need to run effective online meetings is a browser and a phone. Collaborating with colleagues using WebEx solutions is as easy as point and click—making it effortless to meet with anyone, anywhere, at any time. To learn more Click Here
What do I need to participate in an online webinar?
To participate in a live FARIN webinar you will need a computer with an Internet connection, a Web Browser, and a telephone. The computer and Internet connection will deliver the video portion of the webinar (Audience Console, presenter slides, interactive audience surveys, and discussion areas) and the telephone will provide you with the audio portion. Please Click Here to join a test meeting or to view the system requirements page on their web site.
Can others in my organization participate in the webinar?
Yes. When you register for a FARIN webinar, you are welcome to invite other staff from your organization to attend and still pay only ONE registration fee. Feel free to gather around a single computer or use an LCD projector to project the webinar onto a screen.
Please note: Your registration gets you ONE connection into the FARIN Online Classroom. While we encourage registrants to invite others from their bank to participate at no additional charge, the additional participants CAN NOT all be logged into the live webinar at their own computers. You should gather around a single computer or project the presentation onto a screen using an LCD projector. We track connection usage for each webinar and banks will be billed the full webinar fee for any extra connections they use.
Our bank has multiple branches. Can we all participate in the webinar?
You will be billed for each connection into the FARIN Online Classroom. Therefore, if you have, multiple branches that would like to participate in the webinar, you will need to register each branch separately. You may choose to register a single location and then invite staff from the other branches to attend the webinar at that location. If there are geographic limitations, some banks have registered a couple of branches located in different geographic areas and then invited staff from local offices in those areas to attend the webinar at the closest participating branch. Again, you will need to register each participating branch separately so they will each be able to have a connection into the classroom.
How do I register to participate in a webinar? Will I receive a confirmation?
To participate in a FARIN Session go to www.farin.com, click on the Education tab, and visit Current Webinars. Then select the webinar you'd like to attend, follow the registration link and complete and submit the online form found on that page. Once your registration is received, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
How do I pay for my session once I have registered?
You will receive an invoice from FARIN. Please mail a check with the invoice number on it.
Are there class materials for the participants prior to the online webinar?
Yes, one week before the start of a course you will receive log on instructions as well as the link to the course materials to the session.
Where are my course materials located?
To access the course materials you need to click on the training center link that you have received in your log on instructions e-mail. This will direct you to the course Resource Page. This page contains the agenda, course description, session recording, and all course related materials. You will need to enter your course password to view these materials. They may be viewed at any time. The PowerPoint slides are clearly labeled and we encourage you to print them off no sooner than 48 hours before each class begins as there may be last minute changes to the materials.
What if I have a conflict that arises and I can’t attend one of my scheduled class times?
We record the sessions for this reason. If you miss a session the recording of the session will be posted within 48 hours of the completion of that particular session. You will then have enough time to view the course before the next scheduled session.
Where are the session recordings posted and how do I access them?
The session recordings are located in the same place as the course materials. They will be clearly labeled so that you can easily see them.
Do I need special software to view WebEx Recordings?
WebEx files are .arf or .wrf files and you need to use the WebEx viewer to see them. If you would like to download the WebEx viewer you may do so below.
